Midwest City Welcome Center
The Oklahoma Welcome Center in Midwest City has been serving visitors driving through the state on I-40 since 1998. Home to the largest military base in Oklahoma, Midwest City showcases Oklahoma’s contribution to air travel and defense. Both tourists and locals enjoy the vibrant community, splendid shopping, hospitality, events and recreation that ‘America’s Model City’ has to offer.
Visitors and residents are invited to stop by the Welcome Center and check out the stock of state maps and free brochures. Meet with one of our professional travel counselors and plan future adventures while enjoying a complimentary cup of coffee. Browse through the gift shop packed with locally made goods as well as customized city and state apparel.
The Center is also home to a large mural dedicated to the state’s aviation history and a Blue Star Memorial Marker, paying tribute to the “Armed Forces that have defended the United States of America.”
