Christmas Can't Come Soon Enough!

Make plans to enjoy Midwest City’s renowned, family-friendly displays this holiday season! Children and adults of all ages are sure to love Holiday Lights Spectacular, one of Oklahoma brightest and longest drive-through Christmas light displays. Experience more than 1 million LED lights and 100 brilliant displays in this enchanted, winter-wonderland right in the heart of Joe B. Barnes Regional Park. The route is nearly one-mile long and features both secular and religious light displays.
Holiday Lights Spectacular will open Friday, Nov. 18 and shine through Dec. 30. The lights will be open for viewings Sunday through Thursday from 6-10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6-11 p.m. Entrance to Holiday Lights Spectacular is free. Donations will be accepted. Stay tuned for details on the Opening Night Ceremony and Walk the Lights.

Next up, the Community Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held Monday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. at the corner of Midwest Boulevard and Reno Avenue. Midwest City Mayor Matthew Dukes II and children from the community will have an official ceremony to light the community tree. The event will be followed by a reception at the Nick Harroz Community Center featuring Christmas carols, dance performances and a visit from Santa Claus.
Finally, you won’t want to miss the second annual Storyland Christmas open Dec. 2-18. The event will be held in Charles J. Johnson Central Park in Town Center Plaza and will showcase 37 larger-than-life murals depicting eight Christmas stories.
