'Fall' for Midwest City This Season.
The fun doesn’t end with summer in Midwest City. Exciting events continue into the fall season with year round family-friendly activities. Experience an event for car and motorcycle enthusiasts in the Eastern Oklahoma County area with “Cruise in for Coffee.” Attendees can grab a cup from 8-11 a.m. on the third Saturday of each month through October. Musical entertainment continues with “Fall Concerts in the Park” at Charles J. Johnson Central Park at twilight each Thursday of the month.
One-of-a-kind fall events will begin soon, so be sure to soak up the last days of summer on Aug. 28, at 6:30 p.m. with “Splash ‘n Dash” Aug. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Reno Swim & Slide in Midwest City. Continue the aquatic fun by bringing the kids to “Fishing Clinic,” on Sept. 5, where they will learn the basics of fishing. The last day of the pool season is just around the corner. Enjoy the day with your pooch at Reno Swim & Slide with “Doggie Paddle” on Sept. 7. Take in the first signs of autumn at the annual Renaissance Run. On Sept. 19, participants can walk or run a 5K with friends and family and enjoy a pancake breakfast after the race. The family-friendly “Mid-America Street Fest” takes place Oct. 17, featuring free live entertainment, food vendors, children’s activities, shopping and more at this event.

Holiday celebrations begin mid-fall with “Trick or Treat City” taking place Oct. 31. This free and safe trick-or-treating event is fun for the whole family and includes a candy village and inflatables. Designed in 1942 to accommodate the largest military base ever built, Midwest City’s devotion to our nation’s military continues to thrive today. The annual Veterans Day Parade is Nov. 11, to honor the men and women who have fought for our freedom. Before you know it, the Christmas season will be just around the corner. Enjoy the “Holiday Lights Spectacular” beginning Nov. 20 featuring a 118-foot Christmas tree including 9,000 bulbs. Watch Joe B. Barnes Regional Park come to life with gleaming lights and animation.
