Holiday Happenings
There’s so many festivities planned for the community of Midwest City to enjoy this holiday season! Get in the holiday spirit by joining us at one of the great seasonal events planned now until the New Year.
Holiday Lights Spectacular is open for viewing in Joe B. Barnes Regional Park Sunday through Thursday from 6-10 p.m., as well as Friday and Saturday from 6-11 p.m. View the brilliant scenery now until Dec. 30 and behold more than one million luminescent bulbs and 90 magnificent displays that make up the winter wonderland. Experience the holiday lights in a whole new way with the Nightlight Run 5k on Dec. 12. Runners can dash along the 5k path through the illuminated extravaganza and compete for awards and trophies. Pre-registration is $30 and all proceeds benefit the Holiday Lights Spectacular fund. Register online here. This holiday season, Midwest City presents an all new event in Charles J. Johnson Central Park in Town Center Plaza. Storyland Christmas is a free event that will run until Dec. 20. Join in on the fun with story time, pictures with Santa, classic family Christmas movies, a 30 foot lighted Christmas tree and 35 hand-painted holiday murals. Santa will be available Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. From holiday light extravaganzas, to Storyland Christmas, there’s something for everyone this December in Midwest City.
