Spreading the Holiday Spirit in Midwest City!

Midwest City is spreading the holiday spirit with events for everyone! Grab the family and head over to see the displays and events scheduled from now until New Years!
Holiday Lights Spectacular is open in Joe B. Barnes Regional Park Sunday through Thursday from 6-10 p.m., as well as Friday and Saturday from 6-11 p.m. View the brilliant scenery now through Dec. 30 and behold more than 1 million luminescent bulbs and 90 magnificent displays that make up our renowned winter wonderland. The route is nearly one-mile long and features both secular and religious light displays. There is no cost to tour Holiday Lights Spectacular; however, donations are accepted.
Experience the holiday lights in a whole new way at the Nightlight Run 5k on Dec. 9. Runners can dash along the path through the illuminated light display and compete for awards and trophies. Registration is $30 in advance or $35 at the event. Registration packets will be available for participant pick up beginning at 4 p.m., with the race commencing at 5:45 p.m. All events proceeds will benefit the Holiday Lights Spectacular fund. Don’t forget to check out the third annual Storyland Christmas open now through Dec. 17. This special event is held in Charles J. Johnson Central Park in Town Center Plaza and showcases 37 larger-than-life murals depicting eight Christmas stories. Plus, you won’t want to miss photos with Santa, entertainment, children’s activities and much more!
